Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame

About us ...

Established in 1951, the Harness Racing Museum is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the American-born sport of harness racing and the Standardbred horse, both with deep roots in New York State. First opened in a 1913 Tudor style horse stable, the Museum has grown into a 38,000 square foot fully handicapped accessible venue hosting 17,000 visitors annually and caring for a complex collection of more than 70,000 items, including glass and film negatives, photographs, textiles, fine art, sculpture, horse drawn vehicles, and a library of books, film, and periodicals.
