Biography: 

World champion trotting mare Ariana G was bred by Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld, and was foaled on March 25, 2014 in Cream Ridge, New Jersey. Trained by Jimmy Takter and driven primarily by Yannick Gingras, Ariana G has been owned by Katz and Libfeld her entire life. She raced from 2016-2018, winning 26 out of 40 lifetime starts while earning more than $2.4 million during her career.

As a two-year-old in 2016, Ariana G won 9 of 11, including her first 7 consecutive career starts. Wins included the Breeders Crown, Jim Doherty Memorial, Peaceful Way Stakes and the New Jersey Sire Stakes championship. She took a two-year-old record 1:54.1 in an International Stallion Stakes division at The Red Mile. With earnings of $743,967, freshman Ariana G was voted 2016 Dan Patch and O’Brien Two-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year.

Three-year-old Ariana G finished on the board in all 15 of her starts, with 12 victories. Major wins included the Breeders Crown (by 5¼ lengths), Hambletonian Oaks (by 4¾ lengths), Elegantimage (in a stakes, track and Canadian record 1:51.4), Simcoe Stake and Delvin Miller Memorial. The top moneywinning trotter of 2017 with $1,123,690 in earnings, Ariana G was named Dan Patch and O’Brien Three-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year.

As a four-year-old, Ariana G won 5 of her 14 starts in 2018, including the Hambletonian Maturity (by 2¾ lengths), Graduate Series final (in a world record 1:50.2) and the Dayton Trotting Derby. Ariana G was the 2018 Dan Patch Older Trotting Mare of the Year, earning $597,802.
