Biography: 

David McDuffee, an insurance executive by trade, entered harness racing in the 1980s with partner Tom Walsh, and has expanded his influence as a Standardbred owner ever since, with eleven Breeders Crown victories, two Little Brown Jugs and three Kentucky Filly Futurities numbered among his successes.

Bred by McDuffee, his most recent star has been 2021 Dan Patch Three-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year Bella Bellini 4,1:49.4 ($2,150,930), winner of the 2021 Breeders Crown and Hambletonian Oaks. In 2022 she won her second Breeders Crown and the Hambletonian Maturity and was named Dan Patch Trotter of the Year.

David McDuffee was the United States Harness Writers Association’s Owner of the Year in 2021 and has been on the board of trustees of the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame since 2014.
