Considered one of the most prominent figures in North American harness racing, George Segal holds title to many of the premier horses in the industry, either under his own name (some in partnership) or that of Brittany Farms, a leading moneywinning Standardbred nursery he maintains in Versailles, Kentucky. Segal is a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and founder of a commodities brokerage firm in Chicago. His involvement with harness racing covers more than two decades. A director of The Hambletonian Society, Segal has been associated with a steady parade of champions including Artsplace, Valley Victory, Life Sign, Western Hanover, Three Diamonds, Troublemaker, Leah Almahurst and Division Street.
