Biography:

Racemare and broodmare Kikikatie (2001-2021) competed from 2003-2005 and has a lifetime racing record of 31-19-4-3 and total earnings of $1,268,463. She is the only broodmare to have every one of her foals – five in total – take a record of 1:50 or better.

Bred by Jules and Arlene Siegel, Kikikatie was foaled on March 21, 2001 in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Purchased for $37,000 by Lee and Linda DeVisser of Holland, Michigan, Kikikatie was trained by Joe Seekman and driven primarily by David Miller and Richard Stillings.

Kikikatie delivered a superlative freshman campaign, turning in two of her greatest performances with a victory in the She’s A Great Lady Pace and a narrow defeat in the Breeders Crown - the only blemish on an otherwise perfect season. Finishing with 14 straight wins in 15 starts, her dazzling debut year earned her the title of 2003 Dan Patch Two‑Year‑Old Pacing Filly of the Year.

As a three-year-old in 2004, Kikikatie competed in a highly competitive sophomore pacing filly class, which most notably included eventual Horse of the Year Rainbow Blue. Her season included a win in the Mistletoe Shalee on Hambletonian Day at the Meadowlands. At age four, Kikikatie struggled on the track, and her racing career ended with an injury.

When Lothlorien Equestrian, the breeding operation of Susan Grange, purchased Kikikatie in November 2006, she was already in foal to Hall of Famer Rocknroll Hanover, who she would be paired with for the next three years. Kikikatie’s offspring include Rockin Image p,3,1:48.2 $901,756, Grams Legacy p,4,1:50 $240,648, Time To Roll p,6,1:48.2 $803,625, Rockin Amadeus p,4,1:48.4f $728,392 – all sired by Rocknroll Hanover – and Tellitlikeitis p,3,1:48.4s $490,695 by Well Said.

Kikikatie died in November 2021.
