Biography:
Foaled in 1945, a Chief Counsel-La Reine filly, Maggie Counsel was owned by E. D. Wright of Rock Island, Tennessee. She was up to that time the only mare in Standardbred history to produce six 2:00 three-year-olds. Among her progeny are Dan Patch 3-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year Meadow Rice, Meadow Chuck, Meadow Lands and Meadow Gold. Maggie Counsel's last owner was Hanover Shoe Farms, in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
