Biography:

Foaled in 1924 by Peter Chenault-Ruth Mainsheet, Ruth M. Chenault was owned by C. B. Shaffer's Coldstream Farm of Lexington, Kentucky and trained and driven by Ben White. She won all of her ten races in 1926, earning $37,377.50, which was tops for a two-year-old trotter at that time. While her later career was not as brilliant, she proved to be an outstanding broodmare, producing nine foals, of which seven raced in 2:10 or better. Her most prominent offspring was Muscletone, a top trotter of the mid-1930's in the U.S. and Europe. Ruth M. Chenault died at Coldstream Farm in 1946.
