Biography:

Foaled in 1954, Speedster was the son of Rodney and the Dean Hanover mare Mimi Hanover. The winner of nearly $100,000, Speedster's best year was as a four-year-old when he won four legs of the Empire State Classics. He was most successful at the stud at Castleton Farm, siring two Hambletonian winners, Speedy Scot and Speedy Streak, Kentucky Futurity winner Speed Model, and the fastest trotting mare up to that time, Colonial Charm. One of his daughters produced the 1975 Hambletonian winner Bonefish. Speedster died at Castleton Farm in 1977.
