Biography: 

Stoughton Fletcher was born in 1880 in Indiana where he grew up. He went into business in Indianapolis. Fletcher was at one time one of the most prominent breeders in the country. His farm, Laurel Hall in Indianapolis, was well-known for its good sires, especially Peter The Great, who lived out his last days there. Stoughton Fletcher died at Saranac Lake, New York in 1957.
