Biography: 

Bred and owned by Hugh Grant, Tarport Hap was from the first crop of Most Happy Fella out of the mare Tarport Cheer. Sold in 1975 to Alan Leavitt and William Rosenberg for $325,000, Tarport Hap was a world champion, the second highest money-winning pacing mare ever. She and Silk Stockings often competed and Tarport Hap was able to achieve fifty-five victories in ninety-three starts and paced twenty winning 2:00 miles. She died at age five during a race at the Meadowlands in New Jersey and was buried in the infield.
