World champion trotting mare Buck I St Pat was bred by Ron R. Fuller and foaled on April 23, 2003 in Powell, Ohio. Owned during her racing career by Abraham Basen, Ron Fuller, Edwin Gold and Howard Taylor, and trained by Mickey and Ron Burke, Buck I St Pat competed from 2005-2011, finishing on the board in 79 of her 105 starts, including 51 wins.
In her freshman season of 2005, Buck I St Pat won six of eight starts with one second, earning $77,436. The following year, driven primarily by Dave Palone, she won half of her 20 starts, bringing home $183,367. As a four-year-old in 2007, driven by Palone and Brian Sears, Buck I St Pat won 5 of 14 starts including the Classic Oaks, earning $328,500 for the season. At five, six and seven she was driven almost exclusively by Tim Tetrick.
In 2008, five-year-old Buck I St Pat finished on the board in 13 of 14 starts, with 10 victories. Major wins included the Maxie Lee and Matchmaker. With earnings of $411,724, she was voted 2008 Dan Patch Older Trotting Mare of the Year
At the end of May 2009, Buck I St Pat traveled to Sweden, where she finished 7th in the Elitlopp after making a break. She had much better luck at home, finishing on the board in 14 of her 16 starts with 9 victories, including the Breeders Crown, Conway Hall, Miss Versatility and Allerage. With $400,925 in the bank, she was again voted Dan Patch Older Trotting Mare of the Year.
As a seven-year-old in 2010, Buck I St Pat earned $715,135, the most in a season in her career. With 9 wins out of 19 starts, including her second Breeders Crown, Armbro Flight, American-National, Earl Rowe, Maxie Lee and Matchmaker, Buck I St Pat was awarded her third consecutive Dan Patch Older Trotting Mare divisional title.
In her final season, eight-year-old Buck I St Pat finished on the board in half of her 14 starts, earning $203,550.
